Parts Needed

• Outer tail lights 2010-2012 RX
• Outer tail lights 2013-2015 RX

Tools Needed

• Socket and ratchet set(10mm)
• 1/4 inch torque wrench
• 1/4 inch impact driver
• Impact driver socket adapter set
• Trim and clip removal kit
• Small flat-blade screwdriver
• Rechargeable LED mini work light

Tips & Tricks

• →You do not need to remove the entire interior panel to disconnect the wiring connectors — use a small screwdriver to unclip them through the opening instead.
• →Be careful not to drop the three 10mm nuts inside the vehicle — they can roll around and cause rattling noise and may be difficult to retrieve.
• →The studs are intentionally long on this vehicle, which helps prevent nuts from sliding off during removal.
• →The top mounting nut is harder to reach — loosen it with a small ratchet and finish by hand.
• →The replacement tail light assembly may not come with bulbs — transfer the bulb sockets from the old unit.
• →When reinstalling the tail light, align the green clip with its slot first, then line up the bolt holes before sliding it in.
• →When reinstalling trim panels, make sure the weather stripping is not caught underneath.

Torque Specs
