Tips & Tricks
- →Disconnect the negative terminal before the positive terminal when removing, and install positive first when reinstalling.
- →Disconnect the small connector near the negative terminal to gain more working space.
- →Don't forget to disconnect the vent hose on the side of the battery before removal — it vents fumes out of the vehicle interior.
- →After battery replacement, the power hatch won't close automatically — manually close it with your hands to initialize it.
- →After initialization, verify the hatch opens and closes normally before finishing.
- →A park assist malfunction light may appear after battery replacement — drive in a straight line at over 40 mph for 5-10 seconds to clear it.
- →Apply battery terminal protective spray to prevent corrosion on the terminals.
- →When reinstalling push pins, press them out first so they're in the correct position before inserting — installing them in the wrong position means they won't hold.
- →Press push pins until flush only — going too far will cause them to loosen again.
- →Start the vehicle after completion and check for warning lights on the dash.
