2021-2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid 2nd Row Seat Removal And Airbag Warning Light Disabling Instructions

Parts Needed

• Airbag bypass resistors

Tools Needed

• Socket and ratchet set(17mm)
• Trim and clip removal kit
• 1/2 inch impact gun
• 3/8 inch torque wrench

Tips & Tricks

• →Remove the headrest first to make the seat more compact and easier to maneuver out of the vehicle.
• →Disconnect the negative battery terminal before disconnecting any airbag connectors as a safety precaution.
• →Install 2.2 ohm resistors into the airbag connectors when the seat is removed to prevent an airbag warning light from appearing.
• →Tape resistors in place and route the harness under the front seat so they don't get kicked out during driving.
• →When reinstalling, only hand-thread the front bolts first before moving to the rear bolts — fully tightening the front first can prevent the rear bolts from seating properly.
• →Move seat carriages to parallel/level positions before reinstalling the seat so the track lines up correctly.
• →Reconnect the battery and initialize doors and hatch after reconnecting — refer to the 12V battery removal video for the initialization procedure.
• →Check that the wire harness clip teeth are not damaged during removal so they hold the harness properly on reinstall.
